How do we chop off the attitudes of people in their minds that induce sexually harassing and abusing others? Will chopping of genitals of the abuser solve the issue? What makes a girl to chop off the genitals of a 'holy saffron man' who was nothing more than a criminal abuser ? What does it tell about the credibility of police and law enforcement mechanism ? Isn't true people take law in to their hands when they lose faith in the justice delivery system? Is the chopping of the genitals of the 'swami' also indicative of the crisis in Governance and the degeneration of religious institutions where frauds often pose as saints? These are the questions that come to mind. There are no simple and answers. It is easy to play to the gallery to say that by chopping off his genitals the girl delivered instant justice and a lesson to all potential abusers. Playing to the gallery does not help to address the causes and consequences of the issues of sexual harassment and sexual abuse .
